    • What is the Project approach to learning?
When children are engaged in a subject that is meaningful to them, multiple areas of the brain are stimulated and intergraded, and richer learning takes place. The Project Approach is based on children’s interest, and the development of that subject in all areas of curriculum. Construction sites and construction vehicles is a subject spurred on by the current construction across the street from our home. The children have drawn, written, read about, dug and built in response to their interest. We have done math, science literacy, writing, dramatic play, social skills, and problem solving, using the springboard idea that the children choose.
